Integration Easily exchange data between site SCADA and Optimum
Scalability Monitor 1 or more pumping stations from within Optimum
Optimum provides pump owners with pump management analytics tools. Pump, motor and station data is collected from sensors fitted to assets in the station. The data collected can be used for reporting, trending and further in-depth analysis. Using the data, operators can take informed decision to further improve pumping operations.
Optimum provides real-time decision support to operators and managers, as well as allowing operators to view the many unique pages detailing all aspects of the performance of the pumping asset.
The Alarm Management feature allows managers and operators to keep track of system events.
The pump optimisation function works in the background, continually monitoring the changing pump, motor and system characteristics.
As the data changes, updated, least cost pump combinations, are displayed in Optimum to assist station operators and managers to reduce pumping energy costs as well as maintenance costs.
Pumps that run close to their design parameters require less maintenance.
The UK water industry uses up to three per cent of the UK’s total energy (Water UK) and, like other energy intensive industries, has an opportunity to exploit renewable energy for sustainability and commercial benefits.
The UK water industry is increasing renewable generation to produce a quarter of energy from renewable sources. This allows pumping stations to operate more efficiently with less reliant on grid power. However, grid power is still an essential element required to operate the pumping station.
Optimum, can be configured to take in to account the various power sources required for operations at the pumping station and to optimise pumping during a defined period. For example, by using energy generated by solar PV systems during the day, the pumping station can overcome high tariff periods set by the emery sourced from the grid.
